Custom furniture made on Revit | Adding furniture into the model is not exactly necessary but adds to the overall appeal of the space and also gives the space a sense of function. It is also quite important when doing the section cut as it gives the drawing more detail. However, not all furniture was available in the Revit Library so I had to search through Revit City to find something relevant for what I wanted to do. For example, the bathroom vanity, which takes up one whole side of the bathroom with a sink in the middle was not available. Therefore, to add this in I had to edit a pre-made vanity off of Revit City to extend the bench outwards in order to cover the area. As part of our assessment we had to create and document our own custom made furniture. I chose to do create a bedside table and assign the base to the material wood. and the top to the material of glass. I also created a walk in wardrobe as there was none that fit the space and function. To finish off our assignment, I had to document all of the drawings by adding dimensions, titles and a title block. This was important as it looks more professional than just submitting the drawings themselves. |
